Jan Stefanski


Jan Stefanski, cofounder of Janus Consulting, has over 30 years experience in the planning, design and implementation of various business solutions. His primary focus over the last 20 years has been to assist clients in achieving their stated business goals and planning for the future. He effectively and efficiently blends the business, social, economical and technical aspects of a situation to achieve the desired results. He makes 'fuzzy things clear', assisting clients from 'idea crystallization to internalization'.

Jan consults to a wide range of industries, both domestic and international. They include pharmaceutical, chemical, computer, automotive, education, telecommunications, non-profits, financial services and Department of Defense. His primary experiences are in the transformation of business processes, change management, continuous improvement, and individual and team performance. Jan works with I/S clients through the entire cycle of strategic planning, organization development, operational improvement, contingency planning, interpersonal/business skills training and relationship management.

Prior to forming Janus Consulting, Jan held management positions in Sales, Management Consulting and Support Services at Digital Equipment Corporation. He has also held management and consulting positions at Coopers & Lybrand, IBM, and Conrail.

Jan holds a B.S. degree in Physics from St. Joseph's University, an MBA in Finance from Drexel University. He has completed numerous advanced courses and workshops in management and interpersonal skills training. Jan is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) instructor and has been trained in mediation techniques by the Academy for Workplace Dispute Resolution. Jan has been a guest lecturer at The University of Pennsylvania, Villanova University and Drexel University. He is a tutor for the Delaware County Literacy Council and consultant to the Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Delaware Valley (CCCSDV).

His primary professional interest is to assist individuals and groups through the changes required to be "Best-in-Class" and the development and coaching of individual change leaders.

Jan's emphasis is orchestrating the pragmatic planning, development and implementation of cross-functional business initiatives.
